Areas of Interest

Adoptathon Staffing
New Leash adoption events are held twice a month at local pet stores or other locations. These events provide those interested in adopting a dog an opportunity to meet our wonderful dogs. They also provide us, as volunteers, an opportunity to meet prospective New Leash adoptive owners, answer their questions, and provide them with information about our organization and dogs. It also gives us a chance to carefully screen prospective owners to determine if they can provide a permanent loving home for a New Leash dog. Adopting a New Leash animal is a lifelong commitment and is to be taken very seriously. Therefore, we do everthing possible to find the best match between a dog and it's adoptive owner.

Foster Care
We believe that every dog deserves a good home with a loving family. Until we can find each dog this type of home, all dogs are kept in the loving care of their foster guardian. Foster guardians open their homes and hearts to the many dogs that need New Leash's help. They handle a multitude of responsibilities including: feeding the dog a healthy diet, providing a safe home, vet visit transportation, medication dispersal, and lots of love to the dogs until they can be adopted into a loving, permanent home.
