FOSTER CARE
General statement:
Fostering is one of the most difficult but yet most satisfying volunteer roles for our group. It is one of the more active positions in our organization.
Requirements:
- Approved home/apartment for fostering the dog(s).
- Ability to let the dog become part of the household and still give it up to a permanent home.
- Ability and time to go (or make arrangements to have the dog) to most of the adoption events (every other Sunday).
- Ability and time to take the dog to the vet as needed.
- Ability and patience to deal with housetraining and other basic dog issues and messes.
- Ability and time to call prospective adopters and work with foster home coordinator to assure the dog is placed properly.
- A whole lotta love to give!!
